First off I would like to start by saying that I know this video is full of ranting. I’ve never done a video blog post before, so I apologize in advance if it seems to go on forever and is a little all over the place, especially because I did not edit it in anyway.
Okay, now onto explaining what the challenge is:
Some things I forgot to mention in the video:
- I’ll be following a really strict food plan that basically lays out my entire day in meals
- There is an app with all the recipes, a shopping list, a daily checklist, and more to help me through the challenge.
- Shopping for this weeks meals was one of the most stressful things I’ve ever had to do. I took two hours at two different grocery stores to try to get all the ingredients. Since the program was started in Australia I think there are some things they put on the list that we might not have here or have different names for. So for example I picked up hemp hearts instead of buckinis, because as far as I could tell from the Internet they are buckwheat hearts which the grocery store did not have.
- It’s not going to be cheap, buying all fresh produce every week, lots of protein every week, and some of them are expensive health foods. My grocery bill for this first week was $250. However, I am also buying extra to make meals for my partner, Harry. I’m hoping a lot of it I can reuse, like the plant-based protein powder, flaxseed meal, coconut oil, and other things in upcoming meals for upcoming weeks.

Here is what the tracking app looks like to keep you on top of your daily routine:
Thank you to anyone following along, I’m excited to see lift myself and show you all the results at the end of the eight weeks. 😊
